The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informs that when a man spends on his family, whose maintenance is due upon him, such as his wife, parents, and children, seeking nearness to Allah Almighty by doing so and pursuing reward from Him, he will have the reward of charity.

• A man obtains a reward for spending on his family.
• The believer should perform good deeds for the sake of Allah and in pursuit of reward from Him.
• One should harbor good intentions in every deed he performs, including spending on his family.

• Take from his money in a reasonable manner what suffices you and suffices your children
• My heirs should not take a dinar or dirham. Whatever I leave behind, excluding the provision for my wives and my employees, should be spent in charity
• The hand which gives is the higher hand. Start with those for whom you are responsible: your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, then the closest in kin and the closest in kin
• O Messenger of Allah, would I be rewarded for Abu Salāmah's children that I spend on them so as not to leave them like this and like that, while they are my children? He said: Yes, you will be rewarded for what you spend on them
