The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informs that the best and higher-standing among Muslims in the sight of Allah are those who learn the Qur’an - in terms of recitation, memorization, tartīl (measured recitation), understanding, and interpretation - and teach others the knowledge of the Qur’an that they possess, along with acting upon it.

• The Hadīth highlights the excellence of the Qur’an and that it is the best speech, for it is the word of Allah.
• The best learners are those who teach others and do not keep the knowledge to themselves only.
• Learning the Qur’an and teaching it comprises its recitation, meanings, and rulings.

• The example of a believer who recites the Qur'an is like that of a citron; it smells and tastes good. And the example of a believer who does not recite the Qur'an is like that of a date; it has no smell and tastes good
