The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) swore and confirmed his oath three times, saying: By Allah, he does not believe. By Allah, he does not believe. By Allah, he does not believe. The Companions asked him: Who does not believe, O Messenger of Allah? He replied: The one whose neighbor fears his treachery, oppression, and evil.

• Negating faith from the one whose neighbor does not feel safe from his oppression and evil indicates that it is a major sin and that the person committing it has a deficient faith.
• Strongly urging kind treatment of one's neighbor and refraining from harming him with words or actions.

• No one should prevent his neighbor from inserting a wooden peg into his wall. Abu Hurayrah then said: Why do I see you averse to that? By Allah, I will spread it [forcefully] among you
• O Abu Dharr, if you cook broth, increase its water and take care of your neighbors
• Jibrīl kept enjoining me regarding the good treatment of the neighbor to the extent that I thought he would inherit him
