The Mother of the Believers, ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), reported that the members of the Prophet's household (ﷺ) never ate their fill of wheat bread for three consecutive days from the time they arrived in Madīnah until he (ﷺ) passed away.

• It illustrates the modest livelihood of the Prophet (ﷺ) and his family, for the true life is the life of the Hereafter.
• Ibn Hajar said: What appears to be the case is that the reason they were often not full was mostly due to the scarcity of food available to them, although they might sometimes have had food but preferred to give it to others over themselves.

• The bedding of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was made of leather stuffed with palm fiber
• Abu Bakr As-Siddīq (may Allah be pleased with him) had a slave who used to give him a portion of his daily income as the master's share. Abu Bakr used to eat the food bought with that share
• The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) passed by us while we were repairing a hut that we owned
• Who can guarantee for me that he will never ask people for something, and I will guarantee for him Paradise
