The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) pointed out that there is a supererogatory prayer between every Adhān and Iqāmah, repeating this three times. He informed in the third time that this is recommended for whoever wants to offer this prayer.

• It was part of the Prophet's guidance to repeat his statement, so as to make it heard and stress the significance of what he said.
• The "two Adhāns" refers to the Adhān and Iqāmah. They are called two Adhāns for its dominant usage, such as saying: the two moons (i.e., the sun and the moon) and the two ‘Umars (i.e., Abu Bakr and ‘Umar).
• The Adhān announces that the time of prayer has come, and the Iqāmah announces that prayer is about to be performed.

• Bilāl made a call to prayer before the break of dawn. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) therefore commanded him to return and make a call: Lo! The slave of Allah slept. Lo! The slave of Allah slept
• When you hear the Adhan (call to prayer), repeat what the Muezzin says
• The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to sleep at the beginning of the night and rise at its end to pray
